1. do you offer on-site hair and makeup? what about a client closet?
We do not offer hair and makeup styling as part of our packages in order to maximize session availability and keep our services as accessible as possible. Of course, you are welcome to schedule hair/makeup before your session with your preferred stylist!
We offer a very limited client closet at this time, but we're always looking for pieces to add! Let us know what pieces you'd love to see join the collection ♡
2. how is this experience different from other boudoir experiences?
When you come in for your session, you're not just coming into a studio - you're being welcomed as a friend! We can have a cup of coffee (or a glass of wine) before we get started. This experience is designed around comfort and privacy. While many boudoir studios offer a very luxury experience, often including a whole team of stylists and photographers, we focus on creating an experience that allows you to feel truly at-ease and comfortable in your skin. Think, cozy spa night with a friend rather than a celebrity getting red carpet ready.
Our goal is to capture timeless, artful pieces that you'll treasure for years to come - a love letter from today.
3. what should i expect once i've booked my session?
Once you've decided to book a session, contact us to secure your slot. Once you're scheduled, the fun begins! Session preparation varies from client to client - we'll have a chat to determine what you need! Whether that's a vision board, wardrobe curation, or something else entirely, we'll make sure you feel comfortable and prepared.
4. how will i receive my photos?
Your photos will be delivered via an online gallery within two weeks of your session. Depending on the package you selected, the photos will be watermarked until you choose your favorites. Once you've chosen your favorites, you can download the full quality photos. You will also be provided with a print release so you can have your photos printed wherever you choose - you're not limited to purchasing prints from us to get your pictures.
5. why do you limit gallery size?
I am a firm believer in curation. How many pictures did you take at your wedding? How many do you look at on a regular basis - all of them, or just the favorites that you printed and displayed in your home?
It is known that too much choice is overwhelming. I want you to cherish each one of the photos you receive; no one needs 100+ photos that are nearly identical. When you book with me, you will receive not just a gallery, but a collection that we curate together.
6. why did you choose boudoir photography over lifestyle photography?
Boudoir photography has always been a special interest of mine. While I enjoy working with families and groups, I love working with individual clients to create a vision together - that is where my passion for photography lies.
I also wanted to create an experience that differs from the typical boudoir experience - an experience so comfortable and genuine you might describe it as cozy.
Lastly, transparency is extremely important to me, and while boudoir is a luxury, it is my goal to make it as accessible as possible. Most boudoir studios split their packages up into two parts: the session fee, which covers the time you spend with the photographer, and the image collection, which is how you actually receive your photos and is determined after the session takes place. I will never restrict your ability to purchase digital copies of your photos or surprise you with the cost of a physical art collection - they are yours to enjoy however you decide.
